Rebel Roots Group Exercise Classes

I lead 3-4 energetic weekly group exercise classes online! HIIT, Low-Impact and Gentle Yoga are currently on the roster. Everyone is welcome to join!

Group Classes FAQ

  • 40-45ish minutes, with jokes!
  • This is an intermediate to advanced class with options to modify.
  • No pressure to do anything full-on. There be jumping jacks, probably some types of plank-y, mountain climber-y, burpy things. It will be fun and I hope make you sweat and clear your head and feel awesome!
  • Want to make it harder? Take the options I mention and work it! Want to make it easier I will give easier options too, take those.
  • Wear clothes you can move/sweat in, be in a place where you can move around (if you can do a jumping jack, you’re probably set).
  • You might want a yoga mat or towel for the ground, you might want water handy.
  • If you need a break, please take one! Don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with and if it ever hurts, stop. No pain, no gain is NOT A THING.
  • 40-45ish minutes of deconstructed circuit training movement (and jokes) that’ll (both) probably make you sweat.
  • We will work on nailing the exercises correctly.
  • No jumping! Unlinke HIIT, there will be no jumping (but just cause there’s no burpees doesn’t mean it can’t be a good workout).
  • Like HIIT it will be done in intervals with breaks in between.
  • See the last 3 points in the HIIT section above.
  • Relax, breathe, and stretch, plus a wee flow. Low pressure, and a lot of head clearing

$7/£7/€7 each drop-in or monthly unlimited (12 possible classes) for $€£30.

It is necessary to RSVP on the event (go to the FB events tab to see them all) by the day before. If there is at least 1 participant, the class will go ahead, so no need to worry . I will message you the zoom link before the class. If you have any questions, requests, etc, feel free to message us!

  • Comfortable clothes.
  • A space where you can move around comfortably.
  • Probably water.
  • A device such as a smartphone, ipad or laptop and access to Facebook or zoom, classes are streamed on both. We love it if you connect to zoom so we can see each other and work out together!

I am a lifelong athlete turned personal trainer. I am experienced, and I am certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and registered and insured by REPs. I am also a 200hr RYT vinyasa yoga instructor. I have studied physical activity and behaviour change at a graduate level and I’m told I have a great sense of humour 😉

I would recommend low-impact or gentle yoga. And just take it easy until you get the hang of it.

Yes, you need to be well enough to engage in the classes. You should consult your doctor before starting a new workout routine.
